Sustainable development
The sustainable development of Belaya Dacha’s commercial activities is based on the application of key ESG principles in our work:
E — environment: responsible attitude to the environment;
S — social: the company’s significant social responsibility;
G — governance: high-level corporate governance.
Environment
It was these environmental principles that originally shaped the modern international concept of ESG, intended to combat global climate change. Belaya Dacha is a holding company active in agriculture, a sector of the economy that was one of the first to address the necessity to have a responsible attitude towards the world around us. One of the key principles behind our work for many decades has been a concern for the environment and reasonable treatment of natural resources.
Belaya Dacha produces ready-to-eat salads and vegetables, promoting the environmental agenda in the following areas:
1. Optimisation of clean water consumption.
Our production uses up to 80% less water than at home* when thoroughly washing vegetables and salads. By choosing our products, customers significantly reduce the amount of clean water they use in their homes.
2. Minimal use of recyclable plastic.
The packaging of most ranges of Belaya Dacha brand products is made of only 5 grams of recyclable plastics. Information about pickup points and environmental initiatives is indicated on each product package.
3. Working with organic waste.
Beaya Dacha sends plant waste for processing into soil and bio compost. Separately, some varieties of vegetables left over after processing at the production facility are given to feed the horses of the friendly equestrian complex.
The company’s social responsibility
Belaya Dacha’s sustainable principles do not just reflect the company’s attitude towards customers, staff, suppliers and partners. We adopt a broader perspective and prioritise our treatment of all consumers, promoting our mission to the broadest range of people.
Our mission is to change what and how we eat. We want you to eat more
pleasantly and comfortably, while the food itself becomes healthier.
That is what Belaya Dacha is all about.
We support the UN’s sustainable development goals when it comes to a healthy lifestyle and well-being of all demographics. To achieve this goal, the World Health Organisation promotes the consumption of fresh vegetables, salads and fruits and recommends including at least 400 grams of such products in your daily meals The Belaya Dacha brand actively supports healthy eating in Russia and promotes the daily preparation of fresh salads. We instil healthy eating habits and offer consumers a variety of ways to incorporate fresh produce into their diets.
As part of our push for social responsibility, Belaya Dacha annually improves the quality of working conditions, monitors work safety and employee health and invests in social and charity projects.
The company’s Quality and Food Safety Policy and Health and Safety Policy are basic documents that define our social responsibility.
